The Royal Commission into aged care has released it's preliminary findings into the state of the system. As part of these findings, some alarming information has come out in regard to home care.
One of the key recommendations of the report is to provide more Home Care Packages to reduce the waiting list for higher level care at home.
The Commission was distressed to find that many people die while waiting for a Home Care Package, while others prematurely move into residential care.
In the interests of transparency, we would like to calculate the average waiting time for Home Care Packages with the help of the community. Make yourself heard by filling in the simple form below. Once we have gathered enough responses we will publish the findings into the wider community.
